That being said, we know some of you will likely try to give us gifts anyway. For that, we are overwhelmed by your generosity and kindness. Please know we will treasure anything you give us, but if you'd like some suggestions, here are some things to consider:
- Though it's not a destination wedding, it sort of is for us. We live in Seattle, but the wedding is in Phoenix. We will be flying to and from our wedding. Therefore, Jenn's family will have to separately ship back anything larger than a greeting card (if they don't steal it for themselves first!). We don't mean to be rude or burdensome, but we ask you to consider mailing anything of substantial size to our apartment in Seattle rather than bringing it with you to the wedding.
- We've lived together for almost three years now. We have all the plates, utensils, baking dishes, pots and pans, and linens we need, so you're not going to find us registered anywhere. However, we are currently in an apartment and would love to eventually buy our own place in Seattle. - We've been on-the-go for years now and we'd really like to take a nice, long, relaxing honeymoon in some warm and sunny exotic tropical location (Jenn has her sights set on the Caribbean or Bora Bora, though she'll settle for anywhere with a beautiful beach and warm water). Neither of us has really been more than 100 miles north or south of the U.S. border. But, between moving to Washington, trying to pay off student loans, and Jenn still looking for work in this job market, this is going to be a challenge and will likely happen several months after the wedding, if at all.
